Hoyt Corkins reached the final phase of the Biloxi Southern Poker Championship when it reached its final phase and he will be facing five other players. If Corkins wins the championship it will be his second bracelet as well as the second World of Poker Title.

This great tournament of Southern Poker Championship which is being played at Casino Beau Rivage of Biloxi, Mississippi saw 208 participants and after several rounds of matches during three days these top six players emerged as the contender for the winning spot. This is the first WPT of the year 2010 and therefore everyone is waiting eagerly to see its results. It began last Sunday. This is third time Biloxi is hosting the event.

This time Hoyt Corkins will face his competitors not only for the title but also the rare honor of acquiring two WPT titles and two bracelets. Till now Corkins has remained the chipleader and managed 2,069,000 tokens. Tyler Smith is in the second spot that has collected 1,169,000 tokens. The buy-in for the tournament is $10,000 and this has generated a prize pool worth $1,930,000. The lucky winner will go home with $739,486 and he will also have an access to the tournament of Bellagio that has prize money of $25,000.

If you think that the top slot will only have great sum then you are wrong. The prize money for the second and the third slot will be $366,643 and $196,829, respectively.
