Less than a week after declaring, “They were going to have me sit out anyway, to be honest, we have (daughter) Brittany graduating in two weeks. Instead of going up there and not doing anything, I will be better off being at home because of graduation parties and banquets,” Brett Favre has opted to attend the mandatory Green Bay Packers mini-camp this weekend.
Favre, who underwent ankle surgery during the off-season, will report on Friday and is prepared to participate in all the practices.
The 16-year veteran has had to deal with a media frenzy the past few weeks after it was reported that he was so upset with the Packers’ inability to sign wide receiver Randy Moss that he demanded to be traded. According to Favre’s agent, Bus Cook, that demand was never voiced.
While Cook admitted that Favre was frustrated with the Moss situation he commented “Brett has never asked to be traded and he doesn't want to be traded.”
