Manu Ginobili scored 33 points and grabbed 11 rebounds, Tim Duncan added 24 points, pulled down 13 boards and blocked 9 shots and Tony Parker scored 30 points and dished out 6 assists as the San Antonio Spurs beat the Phoenix Suns 114-106 to advance to the Western Conference Finals.
Heading into the third quarter the Spurs held a 53-51 advantage but the Suns were able to grab the lead on a Shawn Marion tip with 6:48 left in the period. San Antonio responded with a 23-8 run to close the quarter and put the Suns in a 14-point hole with one quarter remaining.
Any hopes the Suns had of staging a comeback ended quickly as the Spurs started the quarter on an 11-5 spurt to move in front 92-72. Phoenix countered with a 17-5 run a few minutes later to get within seven but San Antonio hit 9-10 from the free-throw line in the final two minutes to seal the game.
Amare Stoudemire led the Suns with 38 points and 12 rebounds while Steve Nash added 18 points and 14 assists in the loss.
San Antonio will now face the Utah Jazz in the Western Conference Finals.
