A local court in Sydney, Australia delivered the knockout punch to “Rocky” star Sylvester Stallone on Monday when the 60-year-old actor was convicted of importing restricted drugs into the country in February.
While there was no jail sentence, Stallone was ordered to pay $10,651 in fines
for carrying dozens of vials of a human growth hormone into Australia during his promotional tour for “Rocky Balboa.”
Stallone had failed to declare the drugs on his declaration card when entering Australia but told customs officials that the drugs were obtained through a prescription he received in Los Angeles.
The Oscar-nominated actor had said he was carrying a large supply of the drugs because he was preparing to go to Thailand and Myanmar to shoot the final movie in the “Rambo” franchise and the drugs were not readily available there.
