KnowWare International has added descriptive statistics standard error and range calculations to its QI Macros™ SPC Software for Excel. QI Macros works with Excel to draw Lean Six Sigma charts and graphs.

The purpose of descriptive statistics is to provide the user with information about their data such as standard deviation, variance and confidence intervals. The QI Macros output contains all of the descriptive statistics included in Excel’s output plus a data normality test (Anderson-Darling) and charts: histogram, box plot, capability plot and normal probability plot.
