Serena Williams Wins Australian Open

Serena Williams won the Australian Open championship on January 30 by defeating Justine Henin.  Her second straight Australian Open title, Williams is now tied with Billie Jean King with twelve overall Grand Slam singles championships.  She clinched the title by winning the last four games, preventing Henin from winning a Grand Slam championship in her return from retirement.  Despite the setback, Henin was pleased with her performance and will come back on the tour.
