Angelina Jolie has announced that she plans to take a year off of filming movies so that she may spend more time with her partner Brad Pitt and their four children.
Jolie, 31, and Pitt, 43, are currently at the Cannes Film Festival where they are promoting Jolie’s latest film “A Mighty Heart.” In the film Jolie portrays Mariane Pearl, the wife of slain Wall Street Journal reporter Daniel Pearl. Mariane Pearl wrote a memoir shortly after her husband was abducted and killed while in Pakistan researching Islamic fringe groups in 2002.
When speaking about her future plans Jolie, who is currently filming “Wanted” with Morgan Freeman and James McAvoy, said “We're getting work out of the way at the moment.” Jolie continued, “I take two months off, then I work for two months. Then I take a year off.”
The Academy Award-winning actress has said “I have four children and caring for them is the most important thing for me at the moment.” Jolie and Pitt have been together since 2005.
