SuperCamp, a leading summer enrichment program for middle school and high school students, has announced that it is offering a free informational webinar for parents interested in learning more about the program.
The 30-minute webinar includes a 20-minute live online presentation by the manager of SuperCamp’s summer programs, Chicka Elloy, and a 10-minute question and answer session in which Mr. Elloy will respond to questions submitted by parents during the webinar.
This webinar will air twice in February: on Thursday, February 25 at 7:00 p.m. EST and on Saturday, February 27 at 11:30 p.m. Parents can register for the webinar by going to www.QLN.com and clicking on the Informaiton Webinars link under What's New.
SuperCamp's academic summer camps help students raise their grades, confidence and motivation by arming them with powerful new learning and life skills over the course of 7-day and 10-day residential summer camps help on college and college prep school campuses.
Kathy Shoemaker, a school counselor and parent of a SuperCamp grad, says, “"I am a huge fan of SuperCamp. My son Mark went for four years. It had a huge impact on his life. He struggled through middle school even though he is quite bright. SuperCamp helped him understand himself as a learner. It also helped him see himself as successful and a leader.”
SuperCamp is being held at such schools as Stanford, UCLA, Brown and Wake Forest in 2010. The pre-teen and teen summer camp program has graduated over 53,000 students since it launched in 1982.
Bobbi DePorter, co-founder and president of SuperCamp, explains that this webinar will help answer parents’ key questions about the program. “We’ve taken parents’ most-asked questions and developed simple, straight-forward answers,” said Ms. DePorter. “Plus, with the 10-minute Q and A at the end of the webinar, every parent should have all the answers within the half-hour.”
In addition to the webinar registration web page, more information on SuperCamp is available by calling 800-285-3276.
