Polyglot Systems and BlueStep/BridgeGate Health Partners Announce Partnership to Provide Simple, Multilingual Medication Instructions
On Monday, August 4th, Polyglot and BlueStep/Bridgegate Health Partners announced a mutual agreement for Meducation. Meducation converts patients and residents’ medication instructions into simple to understand language with intuitive formats, large fonts, pictograms and videos. The software supplies complex information in one of 19 languages. Thanks to the electronic health records platform provided by BlueStep/BridgeGate Health integrated with Meducation, solutions can now be delivered to patients electronically or printed without interrupting clinical workflow.
The new integration between meducation and the electronic health records platform will improve medication adherence by making individual patient instructions engaging and easy to understand. The result is improved and reduced healthcare costs.
Miscommunication is a rampant problem in the medical industry and this new integration is designed to face that exact problem. Whether there is a language barrier or the jargon is too complex for those who did not study it for years, everyone should now be able to completely understand what they need to do to get better. Right now nearly one third of Americans have problems with communication and interacting with the healthcare system and that leads to taking medication incorrectly and mismanaging chronic conditions among other serious problems.
