It May be Over for Rosie O’Donnell
A day after a heated feud between Rosie O’Donnell and Elisabeth Hasselbeck on “The View” many people are wondering if the controversial personality will ever return to her spot on the show.
While Rosie only has three weeks left until her contract expires and she moves on to new ventures the question has become whether or not she will even have that much time to spout off. O’Donnell took the day off today to spend time with her partner Kelli O’Donnell who is celebrating her birthday.
After yesterday’s battle with Hasselbeck in which Rosie called her co-host a coward for not definitively answering a question the media has jumped all over the one time “queen of nice.”
Elisabeth shot back that Rosie’s rhetorical questions were cowardly and the two launched into a verbal assault that centered on comments previously made by O’Donnell concerning the U.S. war in Iraq. Hasselbeck clearly won the support of viewers and media and now Rosie is debating whether she will return to the show. On her website O’Donnell wrote “I have no idea when I will be back on the View” leading many to believe she won’t be back at all.
Even Rosie admitted the possibility of ending her tenure on “The View” writing “It may be time to be done.”
