SPACE ENTERTAINMENT CENTER PLANS TO BROADEN

ITS APPEAL AND SERVE NEW MARKET SEGMENTS

As work continues on enhancing Space Entertainment Center, a multi-year makeover is getting a boost.  To make room for new offerings and prepare the facility for a new phase of significant renovations, Space Entertainment has chosen Super Auctions to sell select assets as part of its strategic plan.

Super Auctions will conduct  a live, one day auction event on Saturday, August 16th, beginning at 10am. All items will be sold, regardless of price to the highest bidder.  "Space Entertainment Center will reopen to the public on Monday, August 18th. Then over the next couple of weeks, a host of new and engaging arcade games will arrive.  Concurrently, Frankie's Grille at Space Entertainment Center will introduce a new menu," according to Ron Weinberg, Director of Marketing at Space Entertainment Center.

Over the past year, Space Entertainment Center has made major investments in a new sound system, lounge areas, billiards and table tennis .  Many popular games such as Aliens Armageddon, Big Bass Wheel and Big Buck 42" Duck Dynasty have been acquired as well.  All Space Entertainment Center arcade games now run on a WIN Card, which was introduced last winter.  Guests use the WIN Card for all game play (instead of tokens) while game winnings (points) automatically accumulate on the card and are redeemable for prizes in the Winner's Shoppe.  Card balances can be checked at any game reader or kiosk. The WIN card will be the backbone of a new Space Entertainment Center guest loyalty program that will roll out this fall.

"This auction will be the catalyst for innovative new attractions, dining and social experiences that will appeal to adults, families and groups.  As part of its plans to reach out to new audiences and use the facility in diverse ways, on October 21st Space Entertainment Center will host Network Palooza, a business networking event, " said Weinberg.

"Space Entertainment Center has some of the most incredibly maintained equipment that I have seen in more than 21 years and I'm excited that these items are being offered in this weekend's auction. From bumper cars, a mini-Himalaya and Space Rocket rides to pinball machines, arcade video games, redemption games, basketball machines, pool tables and so much more. There will be literally something for everyone, " stated Robert Storment, President of Super Auctions.
