300 Custom Cars On Display At 4th Annual Classics On The Coast Car Show

Downtown Ventura, CA Hosts Classic Car Contest On September 6, 2014

Nothing is more synonymous with Southern California than cruising in classic cars when the weather is fine.

On September 6, 2014, Southern Californians will have the opportunity to see as many as 300 classic vehicles on display at the Fourth Annual Classics on the Coast Car Show in downtown Ventura, California.

“I’m particularly excited about this year’s show,” says show organizer Tami Tackett. “Proceeds from this year’s show will benefit Luggage of Love, a non-profit 501C(3) dedicated to providing children in shelter and foster care with new luggage to help move from one location to another.”

Anyone bringing a piece of new luggage to donate to Luggage of Love will be given a special raffle ticket and entered into a special drawing to win a 42 inch LG Flat Screen television at the Horsepower for an Hour broadcast booth on the corner of Main Street and California Street. Raffle tickets will also be on sale for additional drawings to win other amazing prizes throughout the day.

The show will run from 9 o’clock am to 3 o’clock pm. It will cover several city blocks—on Main Street between Palm and Fir streets and on California Street between Main and Santa Clara streets. Admission to the public is free. Registration for classic cars to enter the contest is $40. Registration closes August 30, 2014.

A custom award built by celebrity judge Ray McClelland, owner of Full Throttle Kutomz in Oxnard, CA and host of “Car Warriors” on Speed channel and “Motor City Masters” on TruTV, will be presented to the owner of the car Mr. McClelland chooses. Ventura Mayor, Cheryl Heitmann will also present the “Mayor Choice” award and the “Best of Show” award winner will receive a custom trophy built by Johnny Martinez and a framed and matted print of his car from Anacapa Hot Rod Photography.
