NBA Scores: LeBron James Leads Cavaliers to Victory Over Pistons, Cuts Detroit Lead to 2-1

LeBron James scored 32 points, grabbed 9 rebounds and dished out 9 assists, Zydrunas Ilgauskas added 16 points and 7 rebounds and Sasha Pavlovic finished with 13 points and 5 assists as the Cleveland Cavaliers beat the Detroit Pistons 88-82 to cut their Eastern Conference Finals deficit to 2-1.

Cleveland led by eight with just over two minutes remaining in the game but Detroit went on a 6-0 spurt to cut the lead to two with 36 seconds left in the game. LeBron James then hit a 14-foot pull up jumper with 16 seconds left to bump the Cavaliers lead back to four. Detroit had an opportunity to cut the Cleveland advantage to one but Tayshaun Prince missed an open three-pointer with 7 seconds on the clock. Drew Gooden then sealed the game with a pair of free-throws.

The Pistons held the lead briefly in the final period after Chris Webber hit two free-throws with 9:15 left in the game but Daniel Gibson tied the score for the Cavs with one of two from the line and Drew Gooden then hit a 16-footer to push the Cleveland advantage to two. After Detroit tied the score on a Richard Hamilton jumper LeBron gave the Cavs the lead for good with a driving dunk with 7:22 on the clock.

The two teams will meet again on Tuesday in Cleveland for game four of their best of seven series.
