War on Drugs Will be Handled with Rehabilitation
The battles related to the war on drugs may be being fought on Mexican soil, but the U.S. is fueling the fight. The United States is responsible for almost 90% of the weapons seized from Mexican drug cartels, and most of the drug money (almost four billion) is U.S. dollars. The demand for drugs is growing and the U.S. is first in line. Until people enroll in an effective drug rehab, like Narconon Louisiana the war on drugs is a battle we will all lose.
Drugs like cocaine, marijuana and heroin are the main imports from Mexico. In the U.S. alone, 22 million people have reported to using cocaine at least once in their lives. These staggering numbers only prove how vital rehab is. Narconon Louisiana is a long-term inpatient facility that allows people to permanently get off drugs and/or alcohol.
The long-term inpatient drug treatment center achieves an unheard of 76% success rate for permanent recovery. Narconon Louisiana does not subscribe to the idea that addiction is a disease, instead they work one on one with a client to figure out what problems drugs were a solution for. Once that problem is isolated and handled clients no longer fall into the same traps that cause them to use time after time. Jeff Lukas, Executive Director of Narconon Louisiana explains, “There is a reason why people turn to drugs and alcohol as a solution for life. What makes us different, and what allows us to ultimately handle the problem is that we dig in and locate what went wrong in the client’s life because there is something that is causing this addiction. There is something that to that person prevents them from facing life.”
In addition to finding out why a person resorts to drugs and/or alcohol, Narconon Louisiana employs a unique detoxification method. Clients sign up for several sessions in a dry heat sauna. This form of detoxification allows the body to get rid of harmful drug residue that is left behind by drugs and alcohol. Left in the system this drug residue attaches to the fatty tissues and dislodges at any time into the bloodstream, causing cravings. Most drug and alcohol addicts will say that the biggest reason they cannot stay clean are the intense cravings they experience.
The Mexican drug cartels see an open market with U.S. drug addicts and until we can cut off the demand, they will continue to come knocking on our door. “As long as there is an addict there will be a drug dealer. I have spent years focusing on rehabilitating addicts so as to eliminate the drug dealers and pushers in our country,” says Lukas.
Stopping the war on drugs requires rehabilitation for those demanding the drugs in the first place. If you or anyone you know is in need of help please call Narconon Louisiana at 866-422-4650.
