Jay Novacek Wife Dead of Apparent Suicide

LeAnne Novacek, the wife of former Dallas Cowboys tight end Jay Novacek, died Monday from what appears to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound. LeAnne, 45, was found dead in a bedroom of their Burleson, Texas home at 9:05 a.m.

Burleson police commander Doug Sandifer said Tuesday that is appears LeAnne committed suicide. "It appeared no foul play," he said.  "We're waiting for the medical examiner's findings."

Jay, 47, played with the Cowboys for 6 seasons from 1990 to 1996.
