Century Mining Announces Union Representing Mine Workers at San Juan Gold Mine in Peru have Begun an Illegal Strike

Century Mining Corporation (TSX-V: CMM) has announced that the union which represents the mine workers at its San Juan Gold Mine in Peru have taken illegal strike action. The strike began on February 2, 2010 at 5:00am (EST).

The Ministry of Work in Peru has deemed the strike by these union members to be illegal. The Ministry of Work will be working with the company and the union to resolve the work stoppage ASAP. A meeting is being held today, after such time the company will provide additional updates.
