Manu Ginobili scored 22 points and grabbed 6 rebounds, Tim Duncan added 19 points and 9 boards and Fabricio Oberto finished with a double-double scoring 11 and pulling down 11 rebounds and the San Antonio Spurs beat the Utah Jazz 91-79 to take a 3-1 lead in their Western Conference Finals series.
The Spurs entered the fourth quarter with a 63-62 advantage and then used an 11-1 run late in the quarter to build their lead to 87-73 with 2:33 left in the game and seal the victory.
San Antonio had a huge advantage from the foul-line and in the final period they scored 19 of their 28 points from the stripe. In the game the Spurs attempted 41 shots from the free-throw line while the Jazz attempted just 20. Both Mehmet Okur and Derek Fisher fouled out for the Jazz and nobody on the Spurs had more than three fouls in the game.
Utah didn’t help themselves any with 17 turnovers in the game and three technical fouls.
Deron Williams led the Jazz with 27 points and 10 assists in the loss while Carlos Boozer added 18 points and 9 rebounds.
The series shifts back to San Antonio on Wednesday where both teams will meet for game five of their best of seven series
