Mother and four children found hanging in mobile home, baby survives
On Tuesday morning a woman found her sister and her four nieces hanging in a closet in a mobile home park in Fort Worth, Texas. The woman went to the house when her sister did not show up at work. She found everyone dead except an 8 month old baby girl. The baby was rushed to Cook Children’s Medical Center. She is said to "be in good condition."
The children, ages 5, 3, and 2, were hung with strips of clothing. The 23-year-old woman and her children were last seen alive on Monday evening. The young woman’s husband was notified of the deaths. They are believed to have been separated.
Sheriff Larry Fowler said that it looks to be a murder-suicide, but the case is still being investigated. "It’s terrible, terrible," Fowler says.
