The Police began their first world tour in over 20 years last night, performing in front of 20,000 fans inside the GM Place in Vancouver.
Playing for two-hours the Police gave the crowd everything they wanted and a little bit more with a set full of classics. The trio started the night off with “Message in a Bottle” and continued with hits “Roxanne,” “Every Breath You Take,” “Spirits in the Material World,” “Don’t Stand So Close to Me” and several tunes off their early albums and reggae roots.
Among those in attendance to watch Sting, drummer Stewart Copeland and guitarist Andy Summers were Eddie Vedder from Pearl Jam and actress Penelope Cruz.
