The American Filtration & Separations Society (AFS) will host the 3rd International Emissions Solutions in Transportation Conference October, 15-18, 2007 at the Kensington Hotel in Ann Arbor, MI.
AFS is the premier organization in North America dedicated to R&D, problem solutions and technology transfer in fluid-particle separation for the benefit of industrial processes, individual health and a clean environment.
In the past two years over 300 organizations have sent representatives to AFS events . These companies understand the value of employees with knowledge of the latest information in filtration and separation technology.
Emissions such as greenhouse gasses and other pollutants are of great concern and are receiving accelerated attention by a long-list of interest groups and the news media. Maintaining the balance of satisfying consumer demands for a modern conveniences and concerned interested groups and regulators has been a difficult chore for suppliers and manufacturers
The AFS is hosting the 3rd bi-annual Emissions Solutions in Transportation Conference since 2003. The conference will report on advances and how suppliers along with Tier I and II companies have stepped up in recent years to lead the parade for achievement.
The industries leading companies and engineers will report on their successes on topics which include particulate, gaseous and VOC emissions, from the engine to the exhaust pipe in addition to theoretical new concepts, far beyond today’s imagination and thinking. Much attention will be will also given to practical matters with focus on design, standards, modeling, measurement, diagnostics, and testing for diesel, gasoline, hydrogen and hybrids. The entire emission package will be addressed, beyond the power train, with cabin air, health as well as alternative fuels as topics important to the industry.
What do AFS Conference Attendees Say!
“AFS conferences are great venues to learn, network and present new ideas. Attendees have a real interest in the industry. The society blends business and technical backgrounds through a clear focus on the industry and science of filtration and separations. If you want to stay current with the leading edge of the industry, AFS conferences are essential to attend.”
John Finley, MemPro Ceramics Corp.“Since I started my professional career in the separations field in 2001 I am a constant attendee of the AFS annual conference. I have benefited from my attendance in many ways, from getting aware of the newest developments in the separations area to making a lot of new valuable contacts and friends. Also the opportunity to present my own latest work helped me to generate interest and to get extremely valuable feedback, which was very beneficial for my research work. Thank you AFS.”
