International Paper Company (NYSE:IP) is down 7.79% to $22.15 on 2.85 million shares after the company posted a much smaller fourth-quarter net loss on Wednesday, helped in part by a tax credit, but a weak performance at its largest unit sent its shares down more than 7 percent. Excluding the credit, restructuring charges and other one-time items, the company posted earnings of 24 cents per share.

Polo Ralph Lauren Corporation (NYSE:RL) plunges 8.64% to $78.27 on 2.80 million shares after the company announced that due to the better-than-expected revenue performance for the first nine months of the year, the Company now expects fiscal 2010 net revenues to decline by a low single digit rate, which compares to prior guidance of a mid single digit decline in net revenues. The Company reported $5.02 billion of revenues in fiscal 2009. According to Reuters Estimates, analysts are expecting the Company to report revenues of $4.9 billion for fiscal 2010.

 

Origin Agritech Ltd. (NASDAQ:SEED) declines 6.79% to $10.29 after the company reaffirmed its revenue guidance for fiscal 2010 to be in the range of RMB 630-RMB 660 million. The stock hit an intraday high and an intraday low of $10.83 and $10.26 respectively. In the last six months the stock went up over 128%.
