Nicole Richie afraid she might be joining Paris Hilton in jail

Last year police pulled Nicole Richie over and said that she was driving under the influence and found some kind of drug in her car. This past February she was charged with driving under the influence.

Now Richie says that she realizes that she "has to take responsibility" for her actions. She says that she is nervous and understands that it’s a possibility she might have to go to jail like friend Paris Hilton.

A rumor that Richie has recently been in rehab has been laid to rest. The star of the show "The Simple Life" said that it is completely untrue and that it started because she wasn’t seen for a few weeks. Richie says that she had been on a tour with boyfriend Joel Madden from band Good Charlotte.
