The hot pink cocktail dress worn by Audrey Hepburn in the movie "Breakfast at Tiffany’s" was sold for $192,000 Wednesday. That is more than six times the estimated sale price. The dress was estimated to sell for up to $30,000 by auction officials in New York. Last year in London the black Givenchy dress worn by Audrey Hepburn’s character, Holly Golightly, was sold for more than $932,000.
Other items sold included one of Marilyn Monroe’s scripts from her last, unfinished film, "Something’s Got to Give" with some of her personal notes written in the margins. The script sold for $19,200. Also sold was a program from the Madison Square Garden birthday event for former President John F. Kennedy which sold for $66,000.
