Maria Sharapova seems to have her right shoulder back in good health at Roland Garros as she breezed past American Jill Craybas 6-2, 6-1 to advance to the third round of the French Open.
The match started slow for Sharapova as she fell behind 2-1 in the first set but then rattled off five straight games to take the first set. Down 5-0 in the second set Craybras took consolation in breaking the Russian’s serve to earn a game but Sharapova broke the next serve and moved on to the third round.
Sharapova will be joined by Serena Williams who looked as if she would waltz right past Milagros Sequera after taking the first set 6-0 but the Venezuelan took the American to the limit in the second set before falling to Serena 7-6 (3).
