Top-seeded Justine Henin had little trouble getting past American Serena Williams on Tuesday as she took the match 6-4, 6-3 and stayed on course for her third French Open title at Roland Garros.
Henin took advantage of a strong first serve scoring on 22-26 opening offers while Serena battled throughout the day in her service game. Williams won just 25-42 first serve points and totaled 22 unforced errors in the match.
The Belgian will now face fourth-seeded Jelena Jankovic in the semis. Jankovic beat 18-year-old Nicole Vaidisova 6-3, 7-5.
