COLUMBUS, OHIO. (October 12, 2014). Flowerama Columbus, a family owned
and operated flower shop with four locations, announced that it is
participating in the 3rd Annual Sweetest Day Toy Drive for
Nationwide Children’s Hospital. This toy drive provides toys,
games, and activity supplies that will really make a difference to the children
and families spending their time in the hospital. The Columbus
florist has supported this special fundraising effort each year that it has
been organized.
In commenting on the Sweetest Day Toy Drive, Steve Ozment, Owner
of Flowerama Columbus, said, “Each year, we work on participating in as many
special events that help those in need in our local community and across the
nation. Children are so near and dear to our hearts so we focus on as helping
as many as we can. This is one of our favorite events as it is tied to the
Sweetest Day, which is a day set aside to remind us to do things for others and
show our love in any way we can. These donations are a special way to celebrate
the Sweetest Day as we know we can put smiles on the faces of children while
they are in the hospital.”
The website
offers information on what toys can and cannot be accepted. The Top 10 list
includes Lego, Uno cards, playing cards, infant soothers, toddler toys, toy
medical kits, CD players, teen DVDs, craft kids and Play-Doh. Those wishing to
