Best-selling author, political consultant and Fox News television commentator Dick Morris, speaking at an American Seniors Association event at The Buckhead Club on February 3, said “the American Seniors Association fights for seniors and all Americans while the AARP has betrayed them with its support of Obamacare.” Morris told his audience that he is “proud” of the ASA and its stand “for fighting socialized medicine and preserving the traditional doctor-patient relationship.” He said the Atlanta-based organization, with members in all 50 states, “has emerged at just the right time.”
ASA President Stuart Barton praised the Fox News commentator, saying “Dick Morris is our champion and friend. ASA appreciates his excellent research and spirited opposition to the pending health care legislation in the U.S. Congress that imposes high taxes and big government controls over our health care system, as well as attacks seniors and baby boomers with rationed care and a gigantic cut in Medicare.”
Morris told media representatives at the event that he came to Atlanta at the invitation of ASA President Barton to support the growing organization “as the true conservative alternative to the left-wing AARP.” He also signed copies of his latest book “Catastrophe” for ASA members.
