The Rolling Stones Kick Off European Tour
The Rolling Stones kicked off their A Bigger Bang tour in Belgium on Tuesday and caused a 30-mile traffic jam that nearly shut down the town of Werchter where the concert was held.
Mick Jagger kicked the concert off with “Start Me Up,” a fitting tune for the 33,000 fans who sat for hours in traffic trying to get to Werchter Park for the show.
Mick, Ron Wood, Keith Richards and Charlie Watts will hit the Netherlands on June 8 and continue their European tour through the end of August.
Among the cities the Stones will play: Frankfurt (6/13), Paris (6/16), Barcelona (6/21), Lisbon (6/25), Rome (7/6), Budapest (7/20), St. Petersburg (7/28), Copenhagen (8/5), Dublin (8/18). The tour is set to end with a three shows in London on 8/21. 8/23 and 8/26.
