Tiger Woods is said to be less than two weeks away from returning to golf as reports have suggested the game’s number one could be playing in the WGC Match Play Championship in Arizona set for February 17.
Woods, 34, hasn’t played a tournament since winning the Australian Masters in Melbourne on November 15. Just 12 days later Woods’ world collapsed following a late-night car accident that quickly opened his private life to the public eye. It was soon learned that Woods, married with a child, had been having numerous affairs.
On December 12, 2009 Woods announced he would be taking an indefinite break from golf as he addressed problems in his private life. Woods eventually checked into a rehab facility for sexual addiction and was reported to have left that Mississippi facility with his wife Elin Nordegren on Friday morning.
While Woods, who owns 14 majors, has not confirmed he will be playing in the WGC Match Play Championship there have been reports that his management team have talked to organizers of the event concerning his participation.
