Psychiatrist visits Paris in jail

Paris Hilton was visited in jail yesterday by her psychiatrist, Dr. Charles Sophy. For the past eight months Hilton has been treated by Sophy. Hilton’s lawyer and Dr. Sophy visited Hilton for about two hours yesterday and left without commenting.

Sophy told Hilton’s judge that she was so distraught over her jail sentence that she was "not capable of any meaningful participation" in a lawsuit that accuses her of slander.

"She is emotionally distraught and traumatized as a consequence of the findings at the May 4 hearing, the jail sentence imposed upon her by the judge, and her fear of incarceration," Sophy wrote.

On Monday Hilton’s lawyer Richard A. Hutton became the first person to visit the hotel heiress after she went to jail to serve a 23 day sentence for violation of probation following a drunk driving case. He reported that she was doing as well as possible.
