Fashioning the latest in electronic ankle wear Paris Hilton left the Century Regional Detention Facility shortly after 2:00 a.m. on Thursday to serve the remainder of her sentence in home confinement.
Due to an unspecified medical problem Hilton was sprung from the all women’s facility after a brief lockup. Hilton began serving her 23 days for violating terms of her probation on Sunday night, after making an appearance at the MTV Movie Awards of course. Originally slated to serve 45 days, the heiress had three-weeks shaved off due to good behavior.
While Hilton was given five-days credit for her spell in the slammer her sentence seems to have inflated back to the original 45 days. She will now be monitored by an ankle bracelet and the 26-year-old will be confined to her home for 40 days.
Terms and conditions of her home confinement have not been released.
The star of “The Simple Life” was arrested in September and pled no contest to a reckless driving charge. Hilton had her license suspended but in January she was pulled over once again. Claiming she was unaware that her license had been suspended Hilton was signed a document acknowledging that she was not to drive under any condition. In late February she was pulled over for the third time in five months after speeding down Sunset Boulevard in the evening with her lights off.
She was then charged with violating her probation and sentenced to the Century Regional Detention Facility.
