Denver Broncos Look to Improve Peyton Manning’s Post-Season Legacy

Take advantage of the remaining games to see Peyton Manning play live while you have the chance.

The Broncos closed out last season’s campaign with a disappointing loss against the Seattle Seahawks. When the Super Bowl ended last season the Broncos were on the losing end of the second largest margin of victory in Super Bowl history. Peyton Manning will go down as one of the greatest regular season quarterbacks of all time. However, when it comes to the post-season Manning has failed to live of to the expectations that past quarterbacks have left behind him.

This season has proved to be no different, as up to this point of the 2014 season the Broncos are in control of the AFC West. They have proven to be the same dominant team that they were last season. The front office, led by General Manager John Elway, opened up their checkbooks this offseason to ensure that the results of this season do not match those of last year.

Adding key components to the roster was done to take some of the pressure off of Peyton Manning having to win on his own. Elway, a former quarterback himself, gave Manning a shiny new toy in wide receiver, Emmanuel Sanders. Sanders was an explosive playmaker for the Pittsburgh Steelers last season. This year he is doing much of the same for the Denver Broncos.

Peyton and the offense can only put up so many points. The other half of the game is to keep points off the scoreboard for the other team. The defense was revamped by the signings of Aqib Talib(CB), DeMarcus Ware (DE), and T.J. Ward (SS). Their defense ranks first against the run and seventh in total yards allowed. Denver can now be considered a complete team instead of just an offensive juggernaut. The remaining schedule for the Broncos will not be an easy task as five of their last seven games come against opponents that will fighting for playoff spots. Denver is in the perfect spot to make the playoffs, but in order to secure home field advantage throughout the playoffs they will have to be on top of their game for the remainder of the season.
