Before long, the subsidiary will be launching the Retro Infinity Player, a proprietary software platform, through a social media-supported crowd funding campaign. Once launched, the platform will enable classic video games to be played on modern devices (smartphones, tablets, game consoles and set-top streaming devices). This is a key piece of WRIT Media’s business: to bring older gamers favorite games from the past and to let a new generation of gamers experience those titles anew.
Retro Infinity has also recently collaborated with the National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing (NASCAR) as part of its branding efforts. The subsidiary was a secondary sponsor, along with Branding Racetrack convenience stores, on Enrique Contreras III’s debut in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series in Martinsville, Virginia. Leveraging the reach of NASCAR’s nationally-televised events and the social media campaigns surrounding these events, Retro Infinity intends to continue to steer the spotlight to the launch of its Retro Infinity Player, from now until the racing association’s championship weekend in November.
