Bon Jovi Guitarist Richie Sambora Enters Treatment Facility
Bon Jovi guitarist Richi Sambora became the latest celebrity to make the treatment center rounds after voluntarily checking in to an undisclosed facility on Wednesday.
The 47-year-old rocker has had a rough year. His divorce from actress Heather Locklear was finalized, his father passed away and his recent relationship with Denise Richards ended.
Bon Jovi releases their latest album “Lost Highway” on June 19 and are slatted to appear on the “Today” show on the same date. The show’s executive producer, Jim Bell, said “Anytime Bon Jovi plays a Today summer concert show, it’s an event, and we’ve been assured that Richie is going to keep his commitment and perform with Bon Jovi on June 19.”
It is unclear how Sambora’s treatment stay will affect the band’s planned tour dates this summer. They begin a brief summer tour on June 24 in London with a larger tour to begin in 2008.
