The Houston Rockets are a team that has rich history in the NBA, but in recent years they have been stuck in the middle of the pack in a very tough Western Conference. Former all-time great Kevin McHale is returning as the Head Coach for the Rockets for his fouth season with the team. The past two seasons McHale has been able to lead his team to the playoffs, but in each of those appearances they have been eliminated in the first round.

This should be the year where the Houston Rockets become a force to be reckoned with. Throughout the past couple of off-seasons the Rockets have put together pieces to form a roster that is extremely talented and built for the future. In 2012, the Rockets traded for the perennial sixth man. Acquiring James Harden from the Oklahoma City Thunder, took Harden from playing in the shadows of Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook to becoming one of the faces of the franchise.  A year later the Rockets were at it again selling their pitch to Dwight Howard on becoming a Houston Rocket. Howard listened and decided that he would become a Rocket after a forgettable stint with the Los Angeles Lakers.

The summer of 2014 saw Jeremy Lin and Chandler Parsons both leave the team. Lin was let go in order to free up cap space in order for the Rockets to make another big name signing. Parsons decided to test the market and he eventually ended up signing with the Dallas Mavericks. The Rockets then signed Trevor Ariza to replace the role that Parsons had with the team. This season the Rockets are rolling early as they have started the season off with an impressive 6-1 record with their only loss coming against the Golden State Warriors. The Resurgence Period looks to be in full effect for the Houston Rockets in the 2014-15 season. Get your tickets now to see if they continue the momentum for the remainder of the season.
