Angelina Jolie will be appearing on CNN’s Larry King Live on Thursday to discuss her most recent film “A Mighty Heart.”
The film, based on true events, depicts the Oscar Award winning Jolie as Mariane Pearl, the widow of Daniel Pearl, a Wall Street Journal newspaper reporter who was abducted and murdered in 2002 in Kirachi, Pakistan while researching Islamic fringe groups.
Mariane, who was five months pregnant at the time of Daniel’s murder wrote A Mighty Heart and published it as a memoir in 2003.
Jolie and Mariane Pearl have developed a close friendship over the years and the widow accompanied Jolie and her partner Brad Pitt to the Cannes Film Festival where the movie debuted on May 21.
Jolie, a mother of four, has described the scene in the movie in which she receives the news of Daniel’s death as “the worst acting day of my life” and said it was “the hardest thing I’ve ever done.”
Larry King’s interview with Angelina Jolie will air Thursday at 9:00 p.m. ET on CNN.
