Upcoming tv appearances: The Today Show (June 19th), The View (June 20th), Ellen (June 28-29)

The final week countdown has begun to the June 19th in-store arrival of LOST HIGHWAY, the new album from Island Records group Bon Jovi, featuring the Top 20 single “(You Want To) Make A Memory.”  The album release will be followed by “Unplugged” performances on MTV, VH1 and CMT – on June 22nd, 23rd and 24th (Friday through Sunday), respectively.  As legend has it, the first “Unplugged” concert broadcast was inspired by Jon Bon Jovi and Richie Sambora’s surprise acoustic performance at the 1989 MTV Video Music Awards.

It has already been announced that New Jersey homeboys Bon Jovi will be the inaugural performers at The Rock, the brand new arena at Newark’s Prudential Center (new home of the Devils hockey team), with multiple nights scheduled between October 25 and November 1  – the band’s only tour dates of 2007.  In celebration of this, Bon Jovi has partnered with Ticketmaster for the first-ever advance concert ticket + digital album package presale.

Starting 10:00 a.m. (ET) on June 12th at Ticketmaster.com/bonjovi, every concert ticket purchased through the exclusive online presale program will be bundled with a digital download of LOST HIGHWAY.  These packages will be available exclusively to American Express card members through June 14th at 10:00 p.m. (ET), and then to the general public from June 15th at 10:00 a.m. (ET) through June 22nd at 10:00 p.m. (ET).  Stand-alone tickets will then be available for purchase at Ticketmaster.com by the general public beginning 10:00 a.m. (ET) on June 23rd.

(Fans who have already pre-ordered LOST HIGHWAY from iTunes and bonjovi.com will be provided with a unique passcode that will enable them to purchase a single presale ticket independently of their digital album order.  The passcodes will be accepted by Ticketmaster.com beginning June 15th at 10:00 a.m. (ET).  These fans will be able to purchase additional LOST HIGHWAY ticket packages in the same transaction.)

Meanwhile, everyone is gearing up in anticipation of next week’s “Unplugged” broadcasts.  Fans should be looking forward to live acoustic versions of the new single, “(You Want To) Make A Memory,” the album title track, “Lost Highway,” and a duet with guest LeAnn Rimes on another new album track, “Till We Ain’t Strangers Anymore.”  Guests the All American Rejects join Bon Jovi for a reprise of their classic “It’s My Life.”  New arrangements (many of them featuring full strings accompaniment) have been charted for many of Bon Jovi’s classic hits as well as some rarely-heard album cuts that they haven’t performed live in a long time.

In April, Jon Bon Jovi served as mentor to the six finalists on “American Idol,” as seen by 30 million viewers.  The performance of “(You Want To) Make A Memory” on the second night launched the LOST HIGHWAY album pre-sale at the www.bonjovi.com website.  That was followed the next week by two dates on the syndicated Ellen.  TV continues with NBC’s The Today Show on the morning of the release date (June 19th), followed by ABC’s The View (June 20th), and two more dates on Ellen (June 28-29).

Bon Jovi has sold over 120 million albums around the world and performed more than 2,500 concerts in over 50 countries for more than 32 million people.
