Democratic presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton will be meeting with close to 300 minority women in the field of business, politics and the arts at a Washington hotel on Tuesday in hopes of strengthening her hold on the key demographic.
In recent polls Clinton has been shown to be holding a strong lead amongst women voters but she is looking to target a more ethnically diverse set inside that constituency.
The Tuesday meeting has been designed to encourage the attending women to campaign for Clinton amongst their friends and raise contributions for her presidential push.
Clinton is faced with the task of attracting minority votes away from black presidential candidate Barack Obama and Hispanic presidential candidate Bill Richardson.
