LeAnn Rimes helps Iraq veteran
Peter Reid suffers from multiple injuries that have left him confined to a wheelchair after a mortar attack in Iraq. The war veteran has not left his house for several months due to difficulties getting him in and out of a car.
LeAnn Rimes presented him with a wheelchair accessible van last week in Nashville, Tennessee.
"She’s wonderful. She walked up to me like I was part of her family. She said, ‘Pete, come with me. I have something for you.’ I went out and there was the van. It was a surprise." Reid said.
The 24-year-old singer gave Reid and his family a Chevrolet Uplander that allows Reid to get in and out of the van without any help. Reid said he was excited about getting to go shopping with his wife now that he had an easy way of going places.
