Complaints about Paris Hilton’s "special treatment" have been normal over the past week. New complaints have been voiced after Hilton’s parents came to visit her in jail and they were let in before others who had been waiting.
A woman went to visit her fiancé and waited four hours to see him. She said it normally only takes 2 hours. Alvina Floyd blames Paris’ visitors and says it’s because Paris gets special treatment.
"I have to be at work later. I can’t wait here all day," Floyd said.
Hilton was sentenced to 23 days in jail for violation of probation. She was in jail for three days when Sheriff Lee Baca released her and put her on house arrest because of undisclosed medical problems. The judge called Hilton and Baca back to court. He then ordered the 26-year-old socialite back in jail.
Upon her return to jail Hilton was sent to the medical ward where she is currently serving her time. The area where Hilton is serving her time is reportedly reserved for high profile inmates.
"I don't know what her health issue is, but you have got to have a pretty intense medical or mental health problem to be in that part of the jail," said Mary Tiedeman who visits the jail as a monitor for the ACLU.
Hilton is accused of getting special treatment in the jail and many say it’s not fair. Shatani Alverson said only moments after her husband came in the visiting room she was taken out and told to come back after lunch due to the Hilton’s arrival. Sheriff’s spokesman Steve Whitmore defended the jails actions by saying that it was "routine" for high profile inmates to see visitors during lunch because the visiting room was normally closed.
Hilton was recently dropped from the Endeavor talent agency that has represented her since 2005.
