Sidney Crosby Earns Hart Trophy as NHL’s MVP

Pittsburgh Penguins’ 19-year-old phenom became the youngest player since Wayne Gretzky to win the Hart, the trophy awarded to the NHL’s MVP.

Crosby led the NHL with 120 points (36 goals, 84 assists) to win the Art Ross Trophy this season and he captained the Penguins to a 47-24-11 record and their first playoff game since the 2000-2001 season.

The Penguins leader collected 91 first-place votes and 1,225 points from the Professional Hockey Writers’ Association voting members.
