Paris Hilton was transferred back to Lynwood's Century Regional Detention Facility on Wednesday and her fellow inmates are happy. Prisoners claim they have been given perks to stop complaints that "The Simple Life" star is receiving special treatment.
Prisoner Rosemary Gibbons was released Thursday and told about the bonuses they had been receiving. "Since she was here last week, they started giving us double bologna, double apple juices. Two blankets instead of one- and a sheet, too! Everyone has cookies coming out of their pockets. Now we feel like we are in the Hilton Hotel. "
Another prisoner who was released, Waynnisha Brown, said "There is extra food everywhere, and now they take you at the clinic right away if you are sick and they don’t charge you. It’s usually $3 for medical, now it’s free."
The inmates might be thrilled about Paris’ return but her sister Nicky was "hysterical." Paris and Nicky’s mother Kathy Hilton told People magazine "It’s tough. It is. It’s just one hour a week- 30 minutes on Sunday and 30 minutes on Tuesday. We talk through glass. And Nicky left in hysterics. She tried to keep the brave face but- I never see Nicky cry."
Paris, 26, was sentenced to 23 days in prison for driving on a suspended license. She entered the Lynwood jail to serve her time but within three days she was released and placed under house arrest due to an unspecified medical problem. Within a day of receiving word about her release Michael T. Sauer, the judge who originally sentenced Hilton to prison, sent her back to jail. Hilton was palced in the medical ward at Twin Towers for a few days before being transferred back to Century Regional Detention Facility to serve out the remainder of her sentence.
Nicky Hilton said, "It’s sad. It’s like right out of the movies. The glass partition, the orange jumpsuit. Everything."
