After 35 years of hosting “The Price is Right” Bob Barker has no problems handing the reigns over to Rosie O’Donnell but the former “The View” co-host may have a more difficult time convincing CBS executives.
Barker, 83, recently retired from the long-running game show and speculation over who will take over has been ongoing. Speaking backstage at the Daytime Emmy Awards on Friday night the silver haired Barker said he believed O’Donnell could handle the task but isn’t sure CBS is ready to give the show to a woman, “There's no doubt in my mind she could do the show. Now, whether they want a lady host, I don't know. I've never heard that discussed. As far as I know, they've only auditioned men.”
While CBS is looking for a replacement Barker has said he would fill in until the position is filled.
