Although Paris was in jail the Hilton’s still had a good Father’s Day. Paris made her father a card that her mother, Kathy Hilton, described as “a beautiful Father’s Day card with pretty pictures.”
When reporters asked Paris’ dad, Rick Hilton, if he was having a good Father’s Day he curtly said “Not one of my best.” He did say that it was a “positive visit.”
After the 45 minute visit the couple described the visit, and told how Paris was doing. Kathy Hilton said Paris was “really cold and she kept rubbing her arm” to keep warm. Kathy also commented on how Pairs spent her days: “looking at the four walls and reading some nice fan mail.”
As the Hilton’s got back into their car Kathy said “But she’s okay.”
The day before sister Nicky Hilton went by to see Paris and reportedly left a small package with the jailers.
The Los Angeles Civil Rights Association and Los Angeles Urban Policy Roundtable also wanted to visit the 26-year-old hotel heiress in jail. Representatives from the groups tried to see Hilton to give her a letter requesting she verbalize her thoughts in the jail system and medical and psychological care the jail gives inmates in need.
Eddie Jones of the L.A. Civil Rights Association said “This will be a time for Paris to step up, and step her game up, and do what’s right and represent people who need help in the mental illness area.”
A representative from the Urban Policy roundtable described the letter as a “challenge” to Paris to represent girls who are mentally challenged. Officers from the jail promised Paris would receive the letter.
Paris is due to be discharged on June 26 and her publicist said she would release a statement about the letter then.
