Nicole Richie fights DUI charges and adds proof to pregnancy rumors
Nicole Richie’s lawyer confirmed today that "The Simple Life” star will fight the DUI charges against her. A court date has been set for July 11 to decide whether the 26-year-old will be sentenced to time in jail. If convicted she faces a minimum of 5 days in jail and a maximum of 90.
Richie was arrested last December after she was pulled over for driving on the wrong side of the road. She allegedly confessed to cops that she had taken the prescription painkiller Vicodin and had been smoking marijuana. Richie has a history of a DUI charge and drug use.
It might be difficult for Richie to avoid serving time considering her friend Paris Hilton was just put in jail for driving with a suspended license.
Richie has also got rumors swirling around her about whether she is pregnant or not. She was seen outside a reproductive clinic last month and she reportedly had tests that confirmed she was pregnant.
Richie refused alcohol at a showbiz party which only made more speculate that there is a great possibility she is pregnant. Her rep has not confirmed or denied the rumors.
