Findit, a Social Media Campaign Management Platform that provides an Interactive Search Engine, has completed the first phase of Friending.
Findit recently added messaging within Findit sites to enable people to message members within Findit. In addition to messaging Findit was also in the process of launching Friending which is now live.
Friending on Findit is similar to following someone in Twitter with a regular account. Anyone can become a Friend of someone else on Findit without receiving approval with this first phase. Members do have the ability to delete a friend after they have been friended if they choose to. Adding friends to your Findit account has its benefits with Right Now status updates. Anyone that becomes friends will now have their Right Now status updates appearing in their Right Now feed under Friends’ Posts. This allows people that are seeing your Right Now posts to click over and view your friends’ posts as well as someone who is viewing your Friends Right Now and clicking in their Friends’ Posts and coming across your updates. This is a great way to have new people find out about you through your friends.
By having your Right Now updates appearing in your Friends’ Right Now feed it is likely more people will see your posts and they also have a better chance of being indexed faster in outside search engines along with being shared socially to Facebook, Google +, Pinterest, LinkedIn and tweeted through Twitter.
Findit provides members a platform to Join Findit, where they can own their unique Keyword URL, along with a screen name. All of these features make it easier to build your brand and be found in search results on Findit. Once your account is live you can post content to the About, Pictures, Music and Right Now sections. The Right Now provides members the ability to include status updates that can have up to six thousand characters a picture gallery that is index friendly when they include a title and description, a video, an outbound link, audio file( great for artisits, and display the headline of a press release from TransWorldNews, a site also owned by Findit, Inc.
Findit operates as an interactive search engine giving the power to its members to insure the pages they want indexed in Findit are indexed. They can do this by submitting any URLs they want indexed with a Title and Description to the Submit URL page. Once submitted the pages are now able to be delivered in matching search results. This includes all content posted directly into a member’s Findit site along with URLs submitted by the member.
Findit is an open platform that is index-able by other search engines. Findit friending is designed to allow anyone to become friends with another member. After the member friends someone that member has the option of deleting that member from their Friend list.
