After 35 years of Bob Barker hosting the game show “The Price is Right”; he has finally retired leaving the show trying to find a good replacement.
Among the possible replacements is Rosie O’Donnell who just left talk show “The View” early after an on-air argument with co-host Elisabeth Hasselbeck.
O’Donnell posted a video blog on her website saying the decision is still up in the air.
"I don't know if it's going to work out," she says. "But listen, I love that show. I grew up on that show. I watched that show the entire 35 years that Bob Barker hosted that show. I used to watch it with my nana. She loved it. It was her favorite show. And I think it's a part of American nostalgia and what our country needs now."
Rosie says she thinks the CBS game show would suit her better that he job as a host on “The View.” "Frankly, having to talk to real people would be better than having to talk to celebrities. It would be good for me, but I don't know if it's right for them,” Rosie says.
Bob Barker has given his stamp of approval. He told ET he thinks Rosie is a great choice. "I've known her for years. She's always loved 'The Price is Right.' She wanted to host the show when she was doing her talk show. She knows the show. There's no doubt in my mind that Rosie can do anything. It's a matter of whether they want a female host or not,” Barker says.
