Paris personally writes letters to fans, reportedly paid $1 million for interview

Ever wonder what Paris does while she’s alone in her jail cell for 23 hours a day? The hotel heiress is spending those long hours reading fan mail and personally writing them back.

 

The 26-year-old socialite was sentenced to 23 days in jail for driving on a suspended license and is currently at the Century Regional Detention Center in Lynwood, California.

 

E! Online reports they obtained a letter the “Simple Life” star wrote back to one of her fans. Hilton wrote: "I read your letter and just wanted to thank you for your kind words of love and support. The fact that you took time out of your day to write me truly means the world. Especially at such a difficult and scary time in my life. But I am being strong and trying to make the best out of the situation. And the letters I'm receiving really do put a smile on my face as I sit here in my cell, sad and alone."

 

Hilton’s rep confirms the letter was written by her and says “She has been trying to respond to her fans as they write, personally.” Hilton is expected to be released from jail on Monday. Rumors have been buzzing that Hilton’s first big interview won’t be with Barbara Walters as was expected but with the “Today” show/

 

The New York Post reported that NBC is going to give Hilton $1 million for the interview. The interview is supposed to be on the show on Tuesday, a day after Hilton is released from the Lynwood jail. ABC official are reportedly “infuriated.”
