COLUMBUS, OHIO. (February 19, 2015). Flowerama Columbus, a family owned
and operated flower shop with four locations, announced that it will be
providing all flowers for the upcoming Gahanna Jefferson Education Foundation Gala
to be held on February 28, 2015 at the Hilton at Easton from 6:30pm-10:00pm.
The theme for this year’s gala is “A Night at the Derby,” and it will include
appetizers from the hotel and desserts from local restaurants, a live and
silent auction that features over 500 items that have been donated by local
businesses and individuals, speakers and musical entertainment.
The Gahanna Jefferson Education Foundation has already
provided 400 grants, totaling more than $525,000. These grants support the
ideas of teaching staff and provide further educational opportunities for
students. The organization also donates funds to its Care for Kids Program,
which helps educational staff to address special student needs. Other funds
have been handed out for donor designated projects and scholarships. The
organization began in 2002 thanks to the School
Business Advisory Council and the generous support of the Gahanna Rotary and
the Gahanna Area Fund.
