  Oakley, Inc. engages in the design, development, manufacture, marketing, and   distribution of optics products. Its products include sunglasses, prescription   eyewear, goggles, and electronically enabled eyewear. The company provides   ophthalmic frame collections for men and women, as well as offers corrective sun   lenses and optical laboratory services; goggles for use by snow, motor sports,   and water sports enthusiasts, as well as for protective football face shields   and hockey visors; and electronically enabled eyewear that incorporates digital   music playback capability and Bluetooth wireless technology. It offers its   eyewear products primarily under 'Oakley' brand, as well as under 'Dragon', 'Eye   Safety Systems', 'Fox', 'Mosley Tribes', 'Oliver Peoples', and 'Paul Smith   Spectacles' brands. In addition, the company offers men's and women's apparel,   including styles designed for surf, snow golf, outdoor, motor sport, mountain   bike, and other athletic lifestyles; a line of premium watches; and footwear and   accessories products primarily under the 'Oakley' brand. It sells its products   through independent distributors and licensees in more than 100 countries, as   well as through Internet. The company also markets its products through retail   locations, including optical stores, sunglass retailers, department stores,   sporting goods stores, and specialty sports stores in the United States, as well   as through subsidiaries in Australia, Italy, Switzerland, Brazil, Canada,   France, Germany, Japan, Mexico, South Africa, and the United Kingdom. As of   December 31, 2006, it operated 223 Oakley, Sunglass Icon, Oliver Peoples, and   OSA retail stores. Oakley, Inc. was founded in 1975 and is headquartered in   Foothill Ranch, California.
